I purchased the iPhone because of what it is was capable of doing only to find the Apple has it locked down to a point where it is a very costly toy. Apple needs to step up and release applications which will allow user to utilize the true abilities of this device. This device needs the ability to connect to the users network, a terminal application to allow connection to systems like UNIX boxes and as400/iSeries Servers. There could be an entire group of trouble shooting applications for those who administer networks. This is just to name a few. I understand that Apple whats to make as much money as they can buy locking down the device, however you could sell a lot more iPhones by making them a fully usable device. Email, Songs and Movies along with a phone is just the tip of the iceberg. It time that you grow up and look at the big picture by creating a usable device for the business world and not the kids world....
